Shilpa Gauba has over 12 years of corporate multicultural marketing experience along with five years of integrated online and social media marketing. Considered a guru in her industry, Shilpa first created a multicultural marketing company, Ethnic Advertising and Marketing Strategies, and is currently the founder and CEO of Social Market Mantra LLC. She has successfully identified, initiated, executed, and managed integrated online, social media, diversity, and multicultural marketing initiatives for a corporate clients in the fields of entertainment, telecom, food and beverages, nutraceuticals, finance, healthcare technology research, and more. Shilpa handles clients for her company, managing 12 South Asian languages including Chinese and Spanish markets.
Shilpa earned her MBA (focusing on advertising and public relations) from the International Institute of Professional Studies (DAVV) in India along with a Master certification in Integrated Online and Social Media Marketing from the University of San Francisco. She is a professional speaker and “go-to-person” for the marketing needs of her clients. She has worked with many celebrities and celebrity brands.
Shilpa served as the speaker and judge at DECA national conference in UT, and co-chaired media and publicity for Indo-American festivals. She is regularly involved with SLC Chamber of Commerce (WBC) and supports the prevention and cure of cancer in children.
Unable to find a one-stop resource, Shilpa decided to share her extensive knowledge and expertise working with multicultural markets. As a result, Be Heard: Raise Your Brand’s Mindshare in Multicultural Communities was born. The author shares her experiences marketing to diverse ethnic communities so that fellow marketers can learn from each other and continue to grow.
