Kim Speed is an experienced branding expert, a graphic designer, author, speaker and workshop facilitator. Kim is the owner of Purple Moon Creative, Brand and Marketing Boutique where she helps start-up companies and small business owners to become visible to their prospects, and to turn those prospects into clients. Kim’s passion is to help business owners find the clients they love to work with and turn them into loyal fans. She educates and teaches them that getting brand clarity and focus will build a strong business and increase their profits.
After graduating from Humber College Package Design Program Kim, began a successful career in advertising and marketing. From junior designer to creative director, she used her talents to help her clients translate their messages into successful campaigns. Over the course of almost two decades, Kim worked on high-profile brands in the financial, food and beverage, retail, telecom, and petroleum industries at some of the top advertising agencies in Toronto. She eventually became creative director and successfully led a team of twelve copywriters, art directors and graphic designers. During that time she and her team were the recipients of numerous marketing industry awards and even earned a Guinness World Record for the largest Scratch and Win Lottery Ticket.
As an entrepreneur and business owner, Kim realized that the creative part of building a brand could only be successful if the business had a strong brand strategy. She began to focus on providing the service of brand development to her clients and could see that they were getting results immediately. Kim now teaches business owners and entrepreneurs how to find their true brand and to use it to attract more leads and customers.
In her book, Kim shares her knowledge and that of many other entrepreneurs in an easy step-by-step manner that can be implemented and executed right away by business owners, to help them get focused and to start increasing sales.
When Kim is not working with entrepreneurs, she spends as much time as possible with her family, her husband and her two daughters. They enjoy travelling or spending time together at the cottage.
