
Ahmed Mottaki is the founder chairman of MIANZ International College and MI Pre School and Day Care.
Ahmed Mottaki’s original dream was to become a cricket player, but he used the sportsman’s attitude in business and used energy to win the game and how to remain focused. However, he could not fulfill his dream and became a business teacher and chased his new-found dream of financial freedom.
In 2002, Mottaki invested in a restaurant in Male. It was good at the beginning, but as he was unable to fully commit himself due to his job commitments, he sold his investment to his partner.
In 2006, he started a training institute, International Centre for Career Development (ICCD) and since then he never looked back. Finally, he was doing something he loved. Mottaki says, “I was the lecturer, receptionist, and janitor of the institute. In the beginning, I introduced different programs. I hired part-time lecturers, many of them being my colleagues, who gave their support. Later, I introduced children’s leadership program. It was a great success. The student numbers increased and the income, too.”
Until 2009, he was running ICCD with one office boy and a receptionist. To manage the growing student numbers and the operations, the organization has also branched out into the organic meat business. The dream of his journey to live a life free with financial freedom that continues to grow.
Now he’s a well-known edu-entrepreneur who established 17 college branches and 4 international schools in 4 different countries in South Asia.
